I felt like every moment was a hot flash, With every breath drawn in with discomfort As if the next could be my last And the shadows would hang over me Until the last glimmer is snuffed out As if all the stars perished at once And we all have left Is that gaping darkness That only brings with it the unforgiving cold And a heavy air. Will you pull me from these depths, Transform the abyss into heaven As if I've never fell to begin with; We've been flying after all? I'll take that hand. I'll trust it. There's still stars in the skies after all. -k.r.r.
